'No You Listen To Me.....' A perspective by Cloud Playhouse's co-artistic director Rita Bhatia

Our upcoming play, No, You Listen to Me...

Theater changes hearts…engages minds...shares perspectives...

An invaluable source of personal enrichment and growth. It is a sacred space where we can share stories, allowing us to interpret our past and envision bold new futures. Step outside the boundaries of our experiences and gain a greater understanding of our unfamiliar environs. It also creates dialogue and encourages uncomfortable conversations. And hopefully, builds compassion, empathy, and unity. Critical to a healthy democratic society, we need it now more than ever.

Our upcoming play, No, You Listen to Me..., aspires to do exactly that. Written and directed by childhood friends, and performed by six amazingly talented actors this story, though fictitious, is influenced by present day conversations, and inspires us to pause and reflect on our actions and our responsibilities to society.

As always, we cannot do this alone and are immensely grateful for all your love and support. May we forever continue to tell stories, involve communities and connect to humanity.

To quote Rumi- ‘The lamps are different but the light is the same’.
