Happy Holidays and Happy 2022!

2021 - where did you go? It feels like this year ended as soon as it started! We are so thankful that this year has allowed us to be social and meet in-person again. Although “the virus” still largely looms over us all and will continue to do so, medical science has helped ease the effects - and for that we are grateful.

At Cloud Playhouse this year, we were able to find a calm balance between our intimate cold reads and the more full-scale experiences over Zoom. We found a sustainable pace for online programming this year, given people’s preference for more in-person meetings.

With 6 full-scale zoom productions, 6 cold reads, 2 podcasts and a couple of fundraisers, we have finished this year with our hearts and minds full of creative satisfaction, contributed to the arts and sustained the artists’ community. We truly hope to have shared with our audiences and every single individual on this journey with us, a chance to experience something unique and fulfilling.

We thank you from the bottom of our hearts, for rallying with us on our COVID fundraisers earlier this year, to help our friends and family in India. With your generous contributions, we collectively raised more than $9,000, which directly saved hundreds of lives, by providing essential supplies, medical equipment and oxygen cylinders to those in desperate need at a very crucial time. And also for your continued generosity on Giving Tuesday and through the year that sustains our work in making a strong social impact, globally.

We are excited for what 2022 has to offer, and we look forward to sharing some exciting programming with you early next year.

In the meantime, we wish you and your families a very happy holiday season, lots of good health, love, light and creativity in 2022.

With Warm Gratitude,

Divya, Malavika, Rita & Team #CloudPlayhouse

It was a week after Shelter in Place began -- when all of our lives had successfully been consumed by Covid-19 – when Rita suggested that we theatre enthusiasts catch up on a Sunday evening Zoom call.
