Come join us this Sunday as we pay tribute to Amrita Pritam and her beautiful poetry. Amrita Pritam was a prominent female Punjabi poet and writer, and is currently remembered across the sub-continent for her beautiful writing. During this event, we will be reciting some of her poetry aloud in three languages (Punjabi, Hindi, and English) and will also be shedding light on her life and ideologies, for she was truly a revolutionary individual and is worthy of great respect and remembrance.
The 30-minute event will be narrated by Anurag Wadehra, and is based on Anurag's translations of Amrita Pritam's poems, which he has been working on for nearly 10 years on his online blog. The poems will be recited by Kohinoor Chakravarty, Reena Kapoor, and Anureet Kaur, and the event will be narrated by Anurag, whose commentary on Amrita Pritam's life will be interspersed between the poetry recitations.
